Our story

Two sisters. One mother. Three decades of selling things to local customers.

Before the campaigns, the certifications, the websites and the WhatsApp integrations, there was a small decoration store in Brazil and two girls learning how to close a sale at fifteen.

Chapter 01

The store. The first classroom.

Our mother raised us alone. She also ran her own business at the same time, a decoration store, the kind of small local commerce that survives by knowing every customer by name. Long hours, narrow margins, no second chances on a bad month.

We both worked there. Andressa started at fifteen, on the sales floor. Shellen joined later, doing the same. We learned how a one-woman business actually wins: not by being the loudest, but by being the most trusted in a five-block radius. By remembering what the customer asked about last time. By knowing when to suggest, when to listen, and when to let them walk away and come back next week.

None of that was on a marketing course. It was on the shop floor.

Watching one woman keep a small business alive teaches you more about marketing than any course ever will. We carry that lesson into every client we take on.
Chapter 02

Andressa. Eight years on the clinical floor.

After the store, Andressa trained as a physiotherapist and worked eight years in clinical practice. A master's in osteopathy along the way. She also became a certified pilates teacher, which means the same business owners she now writes ads for, she has spent years working alongside.

What does that change? It changes which words go on the landing page. It changes how a free consultation is positioned. It changes how an aesthetic clinic talks about a first appointment. The patient feels nervous before they walk in. The pilates student feels self-conscious before their first class. Most marketers write copy that ignores that completely. Andressa writes copy that meets it.

She moved through hospitality operations, creator management, and finally into performance marketing because the same instinct kept showing up: you don't grow a small service business by getting clicks. You grow it by getting the right person to book a real appointment, and then by giving them a reason to return.

Chapter 03

Shellen. The systems builder.

Shellen took a different path. After the sales floor at the family store, she went into web. Seven plus years building, migrating and configuring WordPress sites. Elementor, theme work, DNS, technical SEO, the unglamorous infrastructure that makes everything else possible.

She teaches WordPress on YouTube. She built BeRelevant's custom WhatsApp integration, the piece that turns an ad click into a booked appointment without the lead ever leaving the conversation. That detail matters more than most agencies understand: in Portugal and Brazil, WhatsApp is the booking channel. An ad that sends traffic to a contact form is leaking money. An ad that sends traffic into a conversation closes business.

Like her sister, she learned how to close a sale before she learned to code. That's not a coincidence.

Chapter 04

BeRelevant. Why now, why together.

We started BeRelevant for a specific reason. Most performance marketing freelancers we have met are good at the technical work and lost when it comes to understanding the actual client at the end of the funnel. Most web developers build pretty sites that don't convert. Most agencies split the work into three departments that never talk to each other.

What we offer is the opposite. One strategy. One person who understands what your patient feels before they walk in. One builder who knows how to turn a click into a booking. Two sisters who learned how this works from a woman who did it alone, with no marketing budget, for decades.

That is BeRelevant. That is why the name says be relevant. Not be loud. Not be everywhere. Just be the one that shows up when someone is ready to choose.
